JOSAA Counselling Process

• There will be 2 rounds of mock seat allotment before the due date of filing choices. 
• There will be 7 rounds of seat allotment and after each round allocation is adjusted to reflect number of candidates not opting for the seats which they got. So your preferences go up in the allotment system.

Students are generally absorbed by ISRO/ Department of Space.
The payscale for such students is as per level 10 of 7th pay commission. This entitles a base pay of 56,100 per month+HRA+TA. Other benefits include National Pension System, Leave Travel concession, group insurance, medical facilities for family.
